Amplitude du droit is a journal created in 2022, based on the objective of making scientific research in and on law more widely recognised. It achieves this through a policy of openness, independence, and editorial freedom in its coverage of all fields and topics of law, subjects of international law or with an international legal dimension, and interdisciplinarity (e.g., sociology, philosophy) as law research is not the exclusive domain of jurists. It also defends freedom of academic approach, expression and format. To maximise the value of published content, Amplitude du droit has chosen the open access model to fully participate in the open science movement. The journal is supported by the journal hub Pôle revues Grand Ouest.
