Amplitude du droit is a space where freedom of expression, diversity and imagination come together through the combination of originality, expertise and open access.
Making a unique contribution to scientific research in and on law, it covers all branches and themes of law equally. Moreover, pedagogy itself is not a depreciated topic since a work’s scientific value depends just as much on its treatment as on its subject matter. Likewise, as law research is not the exclusive domain of jurists and the social phenomenon of law is not limited to France, interdisciplinarity and the international take their rightful place within Amplitude du droit.
Amplitude du droit also provides an open space for the scientific study of research objects, moving away from a rigid framework that requires, in particular, an ever-increasing immediacy and responsiveness. Amplitude du droit is committed to publishing high-quality individual and collective works sparing authors from time-consuming constraints to direct more of their energy and focus towards rigorous and productive scientific research. However, this does not mean doing away with contemporary preparation, plan development, or footnote layout standards, it means changing how research is represented and releasing it from these compulsory restrictions. This is not intended as a criticism of the constraints themselves, but a way of enabling researchers to focus on what inspires them the most.
Such ambition requires rigorous selection criteria for published works. Therefore, all contribution proposals undergo a process that guarantees the scientific quality of the publication in accordance with the standard requirements in place in each domain. The review process for selecting texts is both blind and constructive, allowing the journal and the authors to work together in a collaborative approach that will help improve the articles.
In a decidedly proactive approach, supported by the potential for broad dissemination that open access provides, Amplitude du droit aims to contribute to the advancement of scientific research in and on law, relying on the support of authors who are attracted by this editorial policy.
